[origin: EP0712665A1] The washing plant has a trough, through which the impure gravel and water pass in counterflow. There is a rotating washing shaft (20) along the longitudinal axis of the trough, carrying washing tools (14). The tools have a half-open profile, with an aperture facing forwards in the turning direction of the shaft, and forming an angle of less than 90 deg. with the circumference of the trough. There is also an attachment which has washing elements (10) which can be linked to the washing shaft. They may carry similar tools at different angles to the circumference of the trough.
