Abstract (en)
The internal conical surface (3) of a metal piece (1) is ground by putting it in rubbing contact with an abrasive stone surface (9). The piece is rotated about the conical surface axis (4) and the abrasive stone is given an alternate translatory movement in a direction inclined to the conical surface axis at an angle equal to the half angle at the conical surface top. The abrasive stone is displaced in a direction perpendicular to the conical surface axis so as to adjust the advance and the support pressure of the stone on the internal surface of the piece. A first rough grinding is made with one abrasive stone followed by a second finishing grinding stage by a second stone having a finer granule. Oil is flowed over the conical surface during grinding and the filtered oil is recovered.

La surface conique (3) de la pièce métallique (1) est mise en contact frottant avec la surface d'une pierre abrasive (9). La pièce (1) est mise en rotation autour de l'axe (4) de la surface conique (3). On déplace la pierre abrasive (9) dans un mouvement de translation alternative, dans une direction inclinée par rapport à l'axe (4) de la surface conique, d'un angle sensiblement égal au demi-angle au sommet de la surface conique (3) et dans une direction (23) perpendiculaire à l'axe (4) de la surface conique (3) pour réaliser l'avance en cours de rodage. Le dispositif de rodage comporte une pierre (9) montée sur un support (7) et des moyens de déplacement en translation alternative du support (7), dans la direction des génératrices de la surface conique (3). <IMAGE>
