[origin: EP0712965A1] An outer edge zone around the sink unit forms a raised edge bead and an even ring surface which in the installed state is located on the same level as the top side of the cover plate. The zones of the unit located within the edge bead form a downwardly deepened formation. In the area of the draining board (30), which is bounded by the edge zone (10), the greatest vertical distance (A) of the under side of the drawn section (60) from the ring surface (18,14) is approximately equal to the thickness of the cover plate (22).
