Abstract (en)
The arc breaking chamber (9) incorporates an arc formation chamber (10) enclosing the fixed and moving contacts (8,7) between which an arc is struck at the instant of separation. The cooling elements (16) are placed in the arc formation chamber in order to cool the gases surrounding the moving contact. Preferably, there are two sets of plates arranged parallel to each other on opposite sides of the moving contact. Alternatively, two sets of tubes may be arranged either in the same position or equidistant from the moving contact and arc extinction plates (13).

La présente invention concerne une chambre de coupure d'un disjoncteur électrique. La chambre de coupure (9) du disjoncteur comprend une chambre de formation d'arc (10) renfermant un contact fixe (8) et un contact mobile (7), lesquels au moment de leur séparation forment un arc entre eux. La chambre de formation d'arc (10) communique avec l'entrée d'une chambre dite d'extinction d'arc (11). Cette chambre de coupure (9) est caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte en outre des éléments de refroidissement (16) placés à l'intérieur de la chambre de formation d'arc (10) de manière à refroidir les gaz entourant le contact mobile (7). Ces refroidisseurs (16) sont placés autour du contact mobile (7) ou à une certaine distance de celui-ci et peuvent être constitués, entre autres, par des plaques (17) ou des tubes (18). <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
