[origin: EP0713829A2] The band labelling device has a transporting device to pass the band (18) from a store (14) round the item (11). There is a control device (60) for the banding process, at least one clamping device (22), a cutter device (46), a connecting device (48) and a packing table (58). There is a removable frame fitted to the device, or a removable packing table with a frame, and a packing table without a frame. The band can be passed round the item one zone at a time between them. This enables the device to be operated in automatic or semi-automatic mode as desired.
