[origin: EP0713945A1] The combination lock comprises a freely rotating operating spindle (4) having a longitudinal groove (40). A coupling finger (8) in the groove (8) is able to pivot and be extracted from it. The spindle is introduced into three toothed wheels (1-3) placed side by side, the end wheel being fixed to the spindle. A pivot (70), parallel to the operating spindle, has a longitudinal diametral slot (71) on which are mounted three second toothed wheels (1'-3') each meshing with a toothed wheel of the first set. The second set of wheels each have radially on their internal periphery, a notch (11',21',31').
