Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0714828A2] The assembly system allows a carton blank to be stamped out from a cardboard web fed from a supply reel and assembled into a carton sleeve for receiving one or more of the filled phials, before closure of the carton. The received phials are fed through a labelling station (3) insertion, at which a label strip fed from a supply reel (10) is printed and separated for attaching to each individual phial, before insertion in the carton together with a printed insert. Each of the operating stations of the assembly system has sensors for monitoring its function, coupled to a central processor (16) for overall control of the assembly system.
