[origin: EP0714835A1] The mixing device has a recess (14) with a cutting rim (6) on the edge of the recess in provided in the upper region of the cover element (4). The releasable storage vessel (3) with a foil arranged on the main vessel side is inserted into the recess in the cover. The inner diameter of the storage vessel is greater than double the distance between the centre axis of the storage vessel and the cutting rim. The cutting rim extends around more than three quarters of the circumference of the recess.
