Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0714836A1] The actuator consists of a disc (1) with a central dome (2) which has a cylindrical axial duct (3) through it leading to an outlet (4), and a shoulder (6) to press against the upper end of the hollow valve stem (7). The valve is actuated when the disc is depressed, which is achieved by a hinged plate (16) which folds over the top of the disc and is equipped with a trigger which engages with and depresses the disc. Both the disc and plate are able to pivot on film hinges.
