[origin: EP0714843A1] The method concerns feeding of a component (14) (partic. a sheet metal blank for formation of a can side wall) from its deposition place into a transport mechanism (16, 17). It is characterised by the fact that the component is caught and accelerated towards the transport mechanism by ≥ 1 rotating element (I) which in the course of its motion passes through the plane (15) of the place of deposit of the component.
