[origin: EP0715894A1] An electrostatic filter unit consists of a gas ioniser which has a spray electrode fitted to the outside of a rotationally symmetric insulation member, and a cylindrical outer opposing electrode. An electrostatic precipitator is attached to the sensor, and consists of concentric metal tubes which are insulated w.r.t. each other, with a high voltage field between them. The insulation member (8) is in the form of tubes and has spray electrodes (10) on its inner wall (9) as well, which are spaced apart from an inner opposing electrode (12).
