Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0715911A1] The drive units for the lifting and closing movements are located on the inside faces of the press stands (1) or on the side of the slide table (22). The units have a raisable lifting carriage (5), which carries a closing carriage (9) moving in direction of the longitudinal press line axis. The two closing carriages of each press side are connected via secondary beams (16) extending through the tool space of the press. Primary beams move along the secondary beams in separate drives. The primary beams are selectively connected via quick-action locking devices to grab or suction rails (21) for three or two-dimensional part transportation at right angles to the longitudinal press line axis, or to suction rails for two dimensional transport along that axis.
