[origin: DE4443899C1] The combined weft cutter and laying guide, in a jet or gripper loom, is assembled with the cutter (23) and weft guide (14) over the loom width at a spreader holding table (11) of nominal loom width with spreader holders (10, 12). The cutter (23) and weft guide (14) can be adjusted and, together, form a separate component group which can slide on a carrier (13) along the table (11). The component group (23, 14) over the table (11) holders (10, 12), grips over it towards the reed (6). The fixed and moving pawls (15, 16), together with the weft guide (14), are positioned at the selvedge zone. Setting units (30) position the weft guide (14) in relation to the pawls (15, 16) of the cutter (23).
