The profiled section is made of metal and has on at least one of the flat sides not visible from outside in the installed position an elongated groove-like indentation (7) extending in the longitudinal direction of the profile and having a tapered mouth in which connecting elements can be guided from the end sides of the profile. The connecting elements have a cross-section which is at least partially complementary with the cross-section of the groove type indentation. The indentation(s) can be formed in the or each mouth area by two rib like strips (5,6) moulded on the closure profile at a distance parallel from the associated inner flat side.

Langgestrecktes Stirnwand-Abschlußprofil (1) aus Metall für Balkone, Terrassen u.dgl. mit einem auf einem auf einem Grundbelag aufgebrachten Estrich vorgesehenen Plattenbelag. Das Abschlußprofil weist einen vor der Aufbringung des Estrichs auf dem Grundbelag aufsetzbaren Verankerungsschenkel (2) auf, an dessen stirnseitigem Rand der die Stirnwand gegen äußere Witterungseinflüsse abdeckende Profilabschnitt aufgesetzt ist. Dieser Profilabschnitt setzt sich aus einem etwa die Höhe des Estrichs im stirnwandseitigen Endbereich aufweisenden, nach oben vortretenden Profilschenkelabschnitt (3) und einem die Stirnwand des Grundbelags zumindest über einen Teil ihrer Höhe abdeckenden, nach unten weisenden Profilschenkelabschnitt (4) zusammen. An wenigstens einer der in der bestimmungsgemäßen Einbaulage von außen nicht sichtbaren Flachseiten des Abschlußprofils (1) ist eine sich in Profillängsrichtung erstreckende langgestreckte nutartige Vertiefung (7) mit verengter Mündung vorgesehen, in welche von den stirnkantenseitigen Enden des Abschlußprofils her Verbindungselemente (13) einführbar sind, welche einen zum Querschnitt der nutartigen Vertiefung zumindest partiell komplementären Querschnitt aufweisen. <IMAGE>
