Abstract (en)
The regulation system uses optical sensors for detecting the light emitted by the combustible material at spaced points along its transport path between a number of stepped grids. The signals provided by the sensors are evaluated for controlling the quantity of combustion air and/or the feed rate of the combustible material. The sensors are positioned at a viewing angle of between 10 and 30 degrees relative to the grids, for detecting the light emission of the ashes supported by the grids.

Es wird ein Regelverfahren und eine Regelungseinrichtung beschrieben, mit deren Hilfe man verhindern kann, daß bei Überlastung von z.B. Vorschubrosten oder dgl. beweglichen Rosten noch brennender oder nicht ausverbrannter Brennstoff vom Rost in die Asche geschoben wird. Optische Sensoren beobachten das von dem am Rost befindlichen Gut ausgehende Licht, insbesondere via eines Glasstabes, u.zw. die untere Zone des Rostes, und geben je nach dem, ob sie Glut sehen oder nicht, ein lichtproportionales Signal an eine zentrale Regelung, die in den Betrieb des Rostes eingreift und diesen so steuert, daß es nicht mehr weiterhin zu einem Brennstoffabwurf in die Asche kommt. <IMAGE>
