Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0716398A2] The interface circuit has transmission and reception registers for holding parallel transmitted data and a shift register for series/parallel and parallel/series data conversion of the transmitted data within an actuator/sensor control. Sensors (251, 252) and actuators (12, 26) within the base are coupled to a base register (28) connected to the meter, with sensor signals transferred in a shift register of the actuator/sensor control. A sensor status register group is supplied with the parallel data relating to the sensor signals of at least one sensor, with detection of any modification of the received bits of the sensor signal to provide an interrupt signal.
