The labelling strip is designed for books with narrow spines, e.g. exercise books and wallets. The strip material is coated on the front with a colour layer (16). The reverse has an adhesive layer covered by a pull-off protective strip. The colour layer has windows (24) for code markings. The strip is applied to the front or back of an exercise book with the colour coding to identify school class, subject, etc.. When used for slim wallets, to protect documents, the strip can be applied into a pre-market area on the wallet e.g. to provide a simple to read filing marking.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Kennzeichnungselement für Einbanddecken mit schmalem Rücken sowie eine Einbanddecke und ein Kennzeichnungssystem. Das Kennzeichnungselement ist erfindungsgemäß durch ein Substrat gekennzeichnet, welches auf einer ersten Substratoberfläche (14) mit einer Farbschicht (16) versehen ist, wobei das Substrat an oder seitlich zu dem schmalen Rücken befestigbar ist. Die Erfindung schafft ein einfaches Kennzeichnungssystem für Einbanddecken mit schmalem Rücken. <IMAGE>
