Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0717185A1] The valve controls the quantity of exhaust gases fed to the air intake of the i.c. engine, with the valve element (18) cooperating with the valve seat (16) adjusted via a setting drive (22). The actual quantity of recycled exhaust gases fed to the air intake is detected by a measuring device downstream of the valve element and supplied to an evaluation device controlling the setting drive. Pref. the measuring device uses a flow restriction (43) downstream of the valve with associated pressure sensors (40,41) on either side of it.
