Abstract (en)
[origin: DE4424355A1] The invention relates to a process for the electrochemical analysis of solutions applicable, for example, to chemical analysis or for inspection purposes in the industrial and environmental field. Individual substances are obtained via their deposition on electrodes and subsequent detection in the deposits. Whereas, in prior art processes, all the substances to be detected are deposited on one electrode and detected in succession, the process of the invention makes use of a plurality of electrodes. The substances in the solution to be detected are simultaneously deposited on said electrodes in such a way that each electrode is covered with a different substance or mixture of substances. The deposited substances are then detected simultaneously at the individual electrodes. This markedly shortens the measuring time while the risk of false measurements owing to interactions between the substances to be detected on the electrodes is considerably reduced.
