[origin: EP0717951A1] The leg comprises a vertical profiled bar (2), on whose bottom end (2a) and on a bearing (7) is a height-adjustable foot (4) with screwed spindle. At the top end of the bar is a supporting surface (5) for a bath or shower basin (6). The bearing (7) has a component (8) fitting onto the bar bottom end. The screwed spindle (9) engages in a nut turning on the component to form the adjusting mechanism (10). There can be upwards-protruding lugs (11) on the bearing component (8), engaging and clamped between corners formed on the bar. There can be three and preferably four corners on the bar, forming channels running in the lengthwise direction. They can be roughly heart-shaped cross-section.
