Abstract (en)
A plate (13) fixed to the front side of the ski (1) comprises two plane parts (12) constituting a clevis supporting a spindle (9). On the other end is a stop (2) and a lever (3) for retaining or releasing a long plate (8) acting as the boot support. The long plate has in its rear part a heelpiece (6) connected to the heel plate (5) which holds the rear of a boot (7) by its sole (4). The heel plate can be fixed in different places on the length of the plate to accommodate different boot lengths. In its front part the long plate has a front stop formed by a jaw (10) and a safety system (11) for holding the boot. The plate pivots about the spindle which is at a height (H) above the plane of the plate so that the pivoting axis is as near as possible to the boot upper part The ski fixing reduces the skier's forward effort by creating a force which tends to propel the skier forwards.

Cette fixation de ski de randonnée comporte un élément allongé (8) généralement appelé plaque, servant de support à une butée (10,11) et à une talonnière (5,6) destiné à maintenir une chaussure. L'élément (8) est articulé autour de l'axe (9) situé au-dessus de son plan d'une hauteur (H). Cette disposition a pour but de diminuer l'effort à l'avancement du skieur en créant une force, qui à tendance à projeter le ski vers l'avant. <IMAGE>
