Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0718076A1] The rapid anti-vibration coupling for an impact tool comprises a cylindrical shaped connector (1) which extends the body (10') of an impact tool (1') towards the front. The tool has three angularly spaced longitudinal grooves (10) in which a roller (2) with a spindle (20) can be displaced. The spindle ends can roll or slide on the edges (100) of the groove. A ring (3) slipped onto the connector displaces along it and is returned rearwards against the rollers by a spring (4). The ring, with an internal annular projection (30), whose front face is plane and rear face concave partially envelops the rollers. The ring is displaced frontwards by a collar (5) which surrounds the assembly and which has on its internal wall an annular rib. The collar internal wall has in the rear an annular projection, a helicoidal rib having along the whole of its length a groove in which a pin in the connector can slide when the collar is turned to move it forward. The simply made and cheap coupling improves the user comfort of an impact tool.
