[origin: EP0718091A1] The minting press drive mechanism has a coupling securing gear (8), which is articulately connected with an elbow joint gear (11). The coupling secure gear is a connector (7) moved by an eccentric shaft (3). The longitudinal axis of the connector is parallel to the minting plane. The end of the connector turned away from the minting stamp is articulately connected with a support device (9). The elbow joint gear has three pressure tabs (10,12,13) which at one end on a bolt are articulately connected with one another, whilst the other end of a lower pressure tab is articulately connected with the machine frame (1) and the other end of an upper pressure tab is articulately connected with the thruster (14).
