[origin: EP0718451A1] The mounting for holding facing panels in place with a layer of thermal or acoustic insulating material between them and the wall, consists of a framework of rails which are connected to the wall by brackets (2) with rods and plates (5). The brackets are fastened to the wall surface, and the plates are connected to the rails by projecting collar sections (10, 11) which engage with recesses in the rear face of the rails, formed by turned-over edges. Each plate has a central threaded hole (23) to screw into the tip of a rod (1), and its collar sections engage with the rail as it is rotated, using recesses (7) in the edge (6) of the plate, which projects beyond the edges of the rail.
