[origin: EP0718586A1] The cultivator has a horizontal axis drum fitted with cultivator teeth and rotates against the direction of travel of the machine. Debris is lifted by the teeth and pulled under a breaker bar (15) with an adjustable gap (20) which controls the particle size of the soil (ie) stones, wood, roots etc. are broken to a controlled size. The breaker bar is profiled and can be supported on adjustable arms operating on tilt supports. Alternately a sliding mounting can be used. The breaker elements are made of hardened metal and are removable for replacement. The whole assembly can be replaced.
