Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0718922A2] The connector rail (2a) is made of a non-metallic material, in intimate contact with a metal housing part (5) and receiving a series of metal inserts, reach having a socket sleeve (2) at one side and a contact pin (2b) at the other side. The part of the connector rail housing in contact with the metal housing part has a metallised coating (M), with a resin sealing mass (7) extending across the end from which the contact pins project. Pref. the heat expansion coefficient of the metallised coating lies between that of the metal housing part and the material of the connector rail.
