Abstract (en)
The electric connector has contacts enclosed in a casing (1) under the cover (4) which has a bevelled edge (10) for retention by a catch (3) and is jointed (5) at the opposite side. The frontal edge of the casing features an annular groove from which the sealing ring (7) protrudes in the axial direction. The cover and the casing of a mating free socket have similarly bevelled edges (10) which make contact with the ring when the cover is closed and when the socket is inserted, respectively. The groove has a flat inner edge compatible with a corresp. part (12) of the cover.

L'invention concerne un dispositif de connexion électrique étanche comportant une fiche ou similaire destinée à se connecter avec une prise constituant le socle d'une prise de courant ou la prise mobile d'un prolongateur ou d'un connecteur, ladite prise étant pourvue d'un carter (1) muni d'un couvercle (4) de protection articulé et rabattable en position de repos. Le dispositif selon l'invention est notamment remarquable en ce que ledit carter (1) présente sur son bord frontal une gorge annulaire (6) destinée à recevoir un joint annulaire (7) qui fait saillie de ladite gorge dans le sens axial tandis que le couvercle (4) et respectivement le carter (2) de la fiche présentent des surfaces d'appui destinées à venir au contact du joint (7) en position fermée du couvercle et respectivement en position accouplée de la fiche. <IMAGE>
