Abstract (en)
The carrier has recesses for receiving elongated packaging units such as tubes, bottles or beakers. The recesses (11) are slightly smaller than the ends of the packaging units, round which they fit tightly, at least in part. The recesses may have bulges round them so that the recesses are capable of limited elastic expansion. In the case of tubes, the recesses grip the tubes by the can and the adjacent shoulder zone. The recesses may be joined on the reverse side of the carrier by bridges (12). There may be further recesses in the reverse side of the carrier between those for the packaging units, to form more bridges.
