[origin: EP0719881A1] The stamped needle, for a knitter, has a shaft (1) with at least one butt (2), and a free zone (6) filled with pref. a plastics material (8), e.g. polyamide-12, polyethylene, polyurethane or PTFE, and or metallic organic material, firmly bonded to the shaft (1). The edges (14-16) of the free zone are chamfered inwards, at least in stretches, with chamfered sections (19,20) extending into the filling material.
