Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0721036A1] The lock mechanism (3) is housed in a box (1) fitted to the surface of the door. A keypad (4) allows entry of a code to activate the lock. The keypad is on the face of the box. The box is in two parts, the first (5) housing the lock mechanism and the second (6) housing the keypad. This latter part of the box can be removed to allow access to the battery (18), which is in the lower part with the lock mechanism. With the battery removed the code which will activate the lock can be adjusted (16). The box is mounted on a plate (30) screwed to the door. The battery and mechanism part is slid along a guide on the plate, then the keypad part is slid along the guide and held in place by a fixing screw (25,38), which is passed through the opposite face of the door to attach to the underside of the box
