Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0721197A1] The circuit breaker has two identical chambers of each pole, each having a ceramic enclosure (10,10') containing mobile and semi-mobile main contacts (12,17). The mobile main contact (12) is integral with a moving arc contact, a blowout cylinder (14) and a nozzle (15). A semi-mobile arc contact (18) is guided within a metallic cylinder (20). The mobile assembly is driven by a push-rod connected by levers (31) to an actuating rod (32) operated by a control at the foot of the insulating column (3). It is coupled to the semi-mobile assembly by insulating rods (e.g. 41A,42A;51A,52A) jointed (43,53) in the central casing (4). These ensure that the semi-mobile assemblies move at the same speed as the mobile ones and in the opposite direction.
