[origin: WO9509671A1] Hair regrowth is promoted or hair loss mitigated by positioning two or more electrodes (11) closely proximate, but not touching, a subject's scalp. A low voltage positive or negative polarity pulse train signal having a pulse repetition frequency in the range of about 5 to 35 hertz is applied to the electrodes (11) for about twelve minutes. The subject undergoes a treatment cycle spanning a period of about thirty-two weeks during which one or two of the treatments aforesaid are applied per week.
