[origin: DE4427294A1] A process is disclosed for producing jewellery, decorative and art objects with an irregularly folded structure. The beginning of a metal foil or net is guided between two smooth rotary rolls into a channel and are stopped at the end of the channel by a stopping device. Both smooth rollers press the metal foil or net and are rotated for a certain time. At the same time, metal foil or net continues to be fed between the rollers into the channel, while their end is kept blocked, so that they are irregularly pushed together and folded in the channel. A device for carrying out the process has two smooth rotary rollers (2, 3) that form a gap (5) through which the metal foil (1) or net is guided into the channel (10). An adjustable stopping device (4), preferably a steel plate, is used to stop the metal foil (1) or net after they run through the channel (10).
