[origin: EP0722788A1] A process and assembly separate a mixture (2) of two different materials (2a, 2b) into their components, one of which has a lesser fluid esp. air resistance than the other. The mixture (2) is introduced into a first flow of fluid (D) in which one component (2a) is spatially separated from the second (2b). The first component (2a) with the lesser fluid resistance is then transported in a second fluid flow (S) to a receiving station. The novelty is that, the first fluid flow (D ) is weakened after it has passed through the original mixture (2), in that it at least partially dissipates before reaching the second fluid flow (S).
