[origin: EP0722886A1] The device has a support (4) for the heating device (7) which encloses the packing unit and has at least four circumferentially spaced heating units (8) arranged at regular angular intervals. The heating units can be set diagonally opposite one another on the support. The support is driven in rotation with the heating device. Each heating unit extends in the vertical direction of the packing unit (2) with the shrink-fit foil (3) placed round same. Each heating unit can be a burner strip (9).
