[origin: EP0723054A2] The frame is intended to support a cover for a hole in a building wall, and its sides are formed by strips (6,7) of a material, such as aluminium, which are connected to one another at the corners. Each strip has its end wall (10) directed towards a neighbouring strip, which runs past the end wall. It also has a connecting component (12) on its end region (11), which points towards the neighbouring strip. The neighbouring strip can be adjusted in its longitudinal position relative to the strip, and can be locked to the component in any of these positions. The surplus section of the neighbouring strip, which extends beyond the corner of the frame, may then be cut off.
