Abstract (en)
A lighting device, specifically for household appliances, of the kind comprising a basic structure (2), provided with means for the screwing of a lamp (7,7A,8) and with contact and electric connection means (19,21A,21B); according to the invention additional means (3,4,5) are provided in the form of a seal to be inserted on said basic structure (2) and/or on said lamp (7,7A,8) to hermetically close for protection purposes against infiltrations one or more areas of the basic structure (2) and/or of the lamp (7,7A,8) assembled therein. In a preferred embodiment of the invention also the actuation means of the device are enclosed in an airtight housing. The lighting device according to the present invention has particular advantages for application in the field of refrigerating appliances using gas of explosive nature. <IMAGE>
