The system uses a number of information and emergency call posts (INS1) positioned at spaced points within a public space or along a motorway etc., each having 3 operating buttons (7,8,9), for initiating an emergency call, requesting information and initiating an emergency call by a wheelchair user respectively. The posts are linked to a central information and emergency call handling point via 3 line pairs, with a microcomputer within each post for monitoring and supervising its operation.

Informations-Notrufanlage mit einer zentralen Abfragestelle an die mehrere Informations-Notrufsäulen (INS 1) angeschlossen sind. An der Frontplatte (6.2) der Informations-Notrufsäule (INS 1) sind drei Betätigungselemente (7, 8, 9) angeordnet. Ein Betätigungselement (7) dient zur Abgabe eines Notrufs, ein zweites Betätigungselement (8) dient zur Abgabe eines Informationsanforderungsrufs und ein drittes Betätigungselement (9) dient zur Abgabe eines Notrufs und ist in einer solchen Höhe angeordnet, daß es für einen Rollstuhlfahrer erreichbar ist. An dem dritten Betätigungselement (9) kann ein zusätzliches Mikrofon angeordnet sein. Die Betriebsbereitschaft der Informations-Notrufsäule wird durch das Leuchten eines Leuchtfeldes (10) sowie von um die Betätigungselemente angeordneten Leuchtdiodenringen (7.1, 8.1, 9.1) angezeigt. Bei Abgabe oder Quittierung eines Notrufes schalten das Leuchtfeld (10) und der entsprechende Leuchtdiodenring (7.1, 9.1) auf Blinken um. Jede Informations-Notrufsäule ist über drei Leitungspaare mit der zentralen Abfragestelle verbunden. Über das erste Leitungspaar laufen Sprachsignale zur Informations-Notrufsäule, über das zweite Leitungspaar Sprachsignale zur zentralen Abfragestelle und über das dritte Leitungspaar Steuersignale. An die Informations-Notrufsäule kann eine von der zentralen Abfragestelle her ansteuerbare Überwachungs-Videokamera angeschlossen werden. <IMAGE>
