The connector cooperates with a surface contact (9) of the mobile telephone handset (2) incorporated in its outside wall, when the handset is fitted to the connector housing (1), via contact springs projecting through an opening (15) in the housing end wall (33). The contact spring is protected by an insulating cap (14), spring-biased to project through the opening, with a central window, through which a contact nipple (20) of the contact spring projects for contacting the surface contact.

Bei dem Verbinder sind zur Kontaktierung der Flachkontakte eines mobilen Gerätes (2) Kontaktfedern in einem Gehäuse (1) angeordnet, welche durch einen Durchbruch (15) des Gehäuses nach außen vorstehen. Die Kontaktfedern besitzen jeweils einen Kontaktabschnitt (19) mit einer endseitigen Kontaktkuppe (20). Dabei sind jeweils die Kontaktabschnitte (19) durch eine Schutzhaube (14) abgedeckt, so daß lediglich die Kontaktkuppe (20) durch ein Fenster der Schutzhaube nach außen hindurchtritt. Die Schutzhaube (14) ist in dem Durchbruch (15) des Gehäuses beweglich angeordnet und nach außen vorgespannt. Bei der Kontaktierung werden die Kontaktkuppen (20) mit den Flachkontakten (9) des mobilen Gerätes in Berührung gebracht; außerdem werden die Kontaktabschnitte (19) zur Erzielung des erforderlichen Federweges zusammen mit der Schutzhaube (14) in das Gehäuse hineingedrückt. Dadurch wird die Kontaktsicherheit gewährleistet, gleichzeitig aber die Gefahr einer Verschmutzung und einer Beschädigung der Kontaktabschnitte vermindert. <IMAGE>
