Date Feb. 22, 1996A rotary screen printing cylinder including a cylindrical screen, a squeegee disposed within the screen, and two end pieces each fastened as an extension of the cylindrical surface of the screen. The screen cylinder has at least two zones which are provided with color-permeable openings at least in partial areas and are separated by a color-impermeable dead zone of predetermined width. The dead zone is designed so as to give the screen cylinder stability.
