Abstract (en)

The method involves detecting bending of the band (1) and moistening it or drying it locally depending on the detected curvature. If the band bends in one direction, it is dried, and if it bends in the opposite direction, it is moistened. The band can be dried directly using thermal radiation or by blowing heated air at it, or indirectly via a heated deflection roller. Alternatively, drying can be achieved by bringing the band into contact with a heated body for the periods necessary to achieve the required degree of drying. Bending is detected by a sensor (6) which generates a control signal for the drying (7) or moistening (8) device.

Zur Einstellung eines endlos umlaufenden Schleifbandes (1) einer Bandschleifmaschine wird die Wölbung des Schleifbandes (1) detektiert und in Abhängigkeit von der detektierten Wölbung das Schleifband (1) lokal befeuchtet oder getrocknet. <IMAGE>
