[origin: WO9511537A1] A switch cupboard has a rack composed of frame pieces whose sides may be partially closed with door elements. The door elements may be joined, releasably fixed to adjacent vertical frame pieces of the rack by means of hinge elements and closure elements. In order to multiply the mounting possibilities of the door elements with a minimum mounting work, at least all vertical frame pieces of the rack bear at least two joining elements symmetrically arranged to their middle in the longitudinal direction. These joining elements may be used both as hinge elements and as closure elements. On their inner side, the door elements are provided at their articulation side with hinge elements for hinge bolts symmetrically arranged in relation to the horizontal center line and that may be aligned with the joining elements of a frame piece. At their closure side, the door elements are provided with counter-closure elements that may be aligned with the joining elements of an adjacent frame piece.
