A rapier projectile for a loom has a housing (1) in the form of a hollow body, a pick clamp (2) located in the housing (1), and a connecting element (3), which connects the housing (1) with the clamp (2). Das Greiferprojektil hat ein Gehäuse (1), eine Schussfadenklammer (2) und ein Verbindungselement (3), um das Gehäuse und die Schussfadenklammer zu verbinden. Ferner sind Mittel (14,15) vorgesehen, um die Klammerschenkel zur Erzeugung einer vorbestimmten Klemmkraft vorzuspannen, wobei sich die Klemmkraft bei der Montage der Schussfadenklammer selbsttätig einstellt. <IMAGE>
