[origin: EP0725194A1] The system has a long border profile (4) with an anchoring limb (7), which is roughly flat. A narrower long section of the limb projects over the lateral edge of a balcony or patio, and has a mounting strip profile (8) for detachable or permanent fastening of one or more further profiled components (5). The strip may be located on the underside of the anchoring limb, which faces towards the ground when it is correctly installed. The strip may also bend downwards at the outer edge of the anchoring limb, which faces towards the balcony. The outside upper edge (9) of the projecting section may be inclined.
