Abstract (en)
The franking machine has a printer (1) to apply postal imprints (2) to an envelope (3). The imprints include date (2B) which is checked beforehand by a processor (4) connected to a calendar clock (5). The printer is configured (6) e.g. by micromotors to apply a current date obtd. by the processor. The date to be printed can be offset from that given by the clock, by a number of days corresp. to operations of a data entry key (7). The processor is programmed to detect any Saturday or Sunday later than a reference date stored in a memory (8), and to alert the operator accordingly by a message on a display screen (9).

La machine d'affranchissement comprend un mécanisme d'impression (1) d'une empreinte postale (2) incluant une date d'affranchissement (2B) sur un article de courrier à affranchir, un système de réglage de la date d'affranchissement imprimée par le mécanisme d'impression incluant un processeur (4) connecté à une horloge calendrier (5) pour recevoir une date courante et commandant le mécanisme d'impression (1) pour provoquer l'impression d'une empreinte postale avec une date d'affranchissement courante établie sur la base de la date courante. Le processeur est en outre programmé pour empêcher l'impression de l'empreinte postale quand la date d'affranchissement courante à imprimer correspond à une date de fermeture de l'Administration postale ou une date particulière définissable par l'utilisateur de la machine. <IMAGE>
