Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9419147A1] The present invention relates to a method for machining blanks of wood, plastic or similar material (7) in the manufacture of doors, for instance, or other building elements, furniture, etc. in which the blank is secured to a work table (8) and machining is performed with the aid of machining tools (5), such as milling tools, and in which the work table (8) with the blank (7) is placed in substantially vertical position. The invention is characterised in that machining is performed in this position and that a channel (6) is placed under the work table (8) to collect shavings, etc. from the machining, said channel being provided with means, e.g. a worm conveyor (6), for transporting this material away.
