[origin: WO9605431A1] A unit made of an electric motor in a housing with a crankcase (14) and a cylinder head (16) supplies a delivery pipe (28) with a medium, preferably compressed air, required for a motor vehicle. Part of the compressed medium is used for inner cooling. For that purpose, a partial flow is generated in the crankcase (14) during the suction or return stroke of the working piston, independently of the working medium, by a specially designed disk flywheel (34), and flows through channels (74, 76, 80, 82) arranged in the lower part of the unit to the areas where inner cooling is required.
