The applicator has a nozzle head (5) and nozzle (6) with ejection aperture (34). An elastic element (18) is located in the area of the aperture. The element has a passage aperture (17), which communicates with the channel (33) leading to the ejection aperture. It is located between two contact pressure elements (19,20), which are moved towards each other. The elastic element consists of a rubber-elastic material with high rebound elasticity esp. polyurethane, with a Shore hardness of 60-80. It is ring-shaped, and esp. has an angular cross section. Pref. at least one outer ring surface engages on the inside of a contact pressure element.

Bei einer Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung eines Flüssigkeitsstrahls (14), insbesondere zum Auftragen von Leim (12) und/oder Softflüssigkeit (13) auf eine Bahn mit einem Düsenkopf (5), der eine mit einer am Ende eines mit der Flüssigkeit (12,13) beaufschlagbaren Kanales (33) angeordneten Austrittsöffnung (34) versehene Düse (6) trägt, wird einfach und kostengünstig die Steuerung der Querschnittfläche des Flüssigkeitsstrahls ermöglich, daß im Bereich der Austrittsöffnung (34) ein elastisches Element (18) vorgesehen ist, das eine mit dem Kanal (33) kommunizierende Durchgangsöffnung (17) aufweist und das (18) zwischen zwei relativ zueinander verstellbaren Anpreßelementen (19,20) angeordnet ist. <IMAGE>
