Process for shaping a sheet component made of an elastically and plastically deformable, hot age-hardenable, esp. metallic material, in which the component is shot blast shaped to a curved shape esp. with spheres, is novel in that the component is shot blast formed before age-hardening and is exposed, during age-hardening, to external pressure exceeding the creep strength of the material.

Um die mechanischen Werkstoffeigenschaften eines plattenförmigen Bauteils aus einem elastisch und plastisch umformbaren, durch Warmauslagerung härtbaren Werkstoff, welches in eine räumlich gekrümmte Form kugelstrahlumgeformt wird, signifikant zu verbessern, wird das Bauteil erfindungsgemäß im ungehärteten Zustand kugelstrahlumgeformt und anschließend während der Warmauslagerung einer äußeren, ein Kriechen des schlagkörperumgeformten Werkstoffs bewirkenden Druckbelastung ausgesetzt. <IMAGE>
