[origin: EP0726146A2] The control system for a print machine, especially an offset litho machine having a single revolution angle encoder or sensor uses this sensor to control the main operation. The angle sensor determines the plate cylinder position, for example to position for exchange of the plate. So as to position the plate cylinder (P) sensors (SR) are fixed to scan markings on the cylinder, and connected to the control unit (S). The command angle is stored for the desired position, and a difference is calculated between the command angle and the detected angle from the sensor for cylinders not in position to generate a new command angle.
